Here’s the Thornhill Community Band’s virtual salute to seniors and healthcare workers on YouTube.com.  Since we are unable to continue our usual practice of performing at seniors' residences, we offer this video with the hope that it will bring them some joy in these difficult times of the Covid-19 Pandemic. This song was chosen because it is a patriotic song from the 1967 centennial that is clearly identifiable by all Canadian seniors as part of the "music of their life."

Thank you to the band members, our previous music director - Graz Brescacin and especially the project's technical producer/editor, Dr. Jackie Auguste. Welcome

Welcome to our Website.  Our Band is a traditional concert band comprised of amateur musicians of all ages.  We are based in Thornhill, Ontario which is just north of Toronto.  We are a non-profit charitable organization.  Please feel free to surf our site and send us any comments or questions.

Our Mission

The objectives of the Band are to develop and maintain, through regular rehearsals and periodic community concerts, a musical organization dedicated:

a) to further develop the musical education of the members and the community; and,

b) to the purpose of performing works of high musical quality and to supply a specific outlet for community musical and cultural support.

Rehearsals

The Band rehearses Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. at Westmount Collegiate Institute at Bathurst and New Westminster Sts., Vaughan.  New members with at least high school musical ability and their own band instrument are welcome to join. For information, please call (416) 223-7152.
